Greece, as Libya’s neighboring country that is directly affected by developments there and as a factor of stability in the region, has a role and a say in the situation in Libya, Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias stressed during his meeting in Geneva on Monday, with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on the sidelines of the Disarmament Conference.

Mr. Dendias also expressed our country’s strong support for the political resolution of the Libyan crisis. The Foreign Minister also discussed the Cyprus issue with Mr. Guterres, stressing that Greece strongly supports the UN’s efforts to resume talks on the basis of relevant UN Security Council resolutions and the acquis communautaire.
