Art Athina is going digital via its virtual platform, tomorrow October 15, and promises a different experience to the art-loving public. Art Athina Virtual has been placed under the auspices of the President of the Hellenic Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou.

In its online premiere, visitors will have the opportunity to “visit” freely via their computer, tablet or smart phone, more than 55 galleries from Greece and abroad, meet the artists and see their works without any time limit. Art Athina Virtual will be available 24 hours a day – with different lighting in the morning and evening – seven days a week until the end of October.

Art Athina Virtual will also host parallel activities like it does every year and which have gained a loyal audience. Such activities include talks, performances, video art tributes and the presentation of independent art spaces under the title “Projects”.

Art Athina Virtual also organizes Art Athina Week, a week of happenings that will run from 13 to 20 October, during which, the participating Greek galleries will exhibit in their physical spaces, the works that will present online.

The Panhellenic Association of Art Galleries and the team of Art Athina with artistic director Stamatia Dimitrakopoulos are organizeing the event like every year, while the creation of the platform was carried out with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Sport.
