Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Development, Yiannis Dragasakis will meet today with OECD Secretary General Angel Gurria, in Athens, ahead of the organization’s 4th Ministerial Meeting on Regional Development, to be held in the Greek capital on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The summit is held every five years in a different member state of the OECD, and this year 20 leaders from various productive ministries from around the world will participate, while 30 more countries and organizations will also be represented.

In a statement regarding the Summit, the Ministry of Economy states that the Greek side agrees with the belief that regional policy is “policy politics”, as regional and local initiatives and policies are implemented in an integrated manner, in direct interconnection with the citizen.
