The presidents of Egypt Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, the Republic of Cyprus Nicos Anastasiades and the Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, met at the tripartite summit in Cairo on Tuesday. The summit concluded with a series of agreements regarding an investment promotion program and the combating of illicit trafficking of cultural property, while they three men discusses co-operation initiatives in the field of energy, environmental protection and economic relations.

In his statements, the Greek Prime Minister stressed that the tripartite summit condemned Turkey’s illegal actions in the Cyprus EEZ and the provocative behavior of the neighboring country in the Aegean. Mr. Mitsotakis also referred to US Foreign Minister Mike Pompeo’s statements in support of Greece’s national security and against the illegal drilling in the Cypriot EEZ.
