General Accounting Office sources dismiss reports about a 500 million Euro deficit in public revenues for the month of July. They also dismiss concerns about wage and pension cuts, underlining that budget cash revenues surpassed targets by around 105 million euros in July.

The sources said that revenue cash flow in July was not a cause of concern and noted that in the first half of 2016, regular budget net revenue amounted to 20,960 billion euros, namely, up 777 million or 3.8% from target.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikos Xydakis, in an interview to Proto Programma, said: “We will have a clearer idea of public revenues in September. Summer months are always a plus factor”.
