Greek government ministers and the heads of the Institutions’ delegations are starting a new round of negotiations, on Wednesday, for the timely conclusion of the fourth review of Greece’s program. The most important issues of the negotiations are privatizations, energy and the reforms in public administration. According to information by government sources, the staff-level talks are progressing positively, with both sides willing to “resolve conflicts”, while the text of the staff-level agreement is already being drafted, in order to be presented to the Eurogroup of May 24th.
June 21st is considered the next crucial date (next meeting of the Eurogroup), as it is estimated that almost all 88 prerequisites of the fourth review will have been implemented. At the same time, there is an intention to reach an agreement both on the debt and on the post-memorandum monitoring.
