According to the latest announcement by the Health Ministry’s infectious disease spokesman, Sotiris Tsiodras, there are 94 new confirmed coronavirus cases in our country, bringing the total number to 624.

According to Mr. Tsiodras most confirmed cases are in Athens and 55.7% of them are men. 124 people are hospitalized, of which 34 are intubated. The majority of patients being treated have serious underlying health issues. The average age of the patients treated is 64 years old and 67 years old for the intubated patients.

Fifteen people have died, out of which 14 had severe underlying health issues. Twelve of them were men and 3 were women, with their average age being 77 years old. Nineteen people have been discharged from the hospitals.
