The implementation of Microsoft’s investment in Greece, amounting to 400 million euros, for a Data Center node in Attica, with the added value reaching 1 billion euros, was announced today by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Microsoft President Brad Smith and Microsoft’s CEO for Greece, Cyprus and Malta, Theodosis Michalopoulos.

Microsoft is going to create a large Data Center, where it will store and manage data in the Cloud. It will be one of the company’s first data centers in Europe.

“Technology is a catalyst for growth and the government has proven that it treats digital transformation as the most critical asset,” said K. Mitsotakis during the investment announcement at the Acropolis Museum.

“This is an important day for Greece,” said Brad Smith, stressing that it is “Microsoft’s largest investment in Greece in the 28 years of its presence in the country”.
