The country’s diplomatic initiatives to highlight the Turkish provocation continue, in view of the EU Summit on September 24th and 25th, which will address the issue.

At the same time, the meeting between the Prime Ministe, Kyriakos Mitsotakis and the French President Emanuel Macron, which will take place on Thursday before the Euro-Mediterranean Summit in Corsica, was finalized and the prospects of defense cooperation between the two countries will be on the table, as well as the purchase of defense equipment from France.

The General Staffs of Greece and France have been working closely since last week on the new armaments data brought by the decision of the Greek side to investigate the ways of acquiring the French Rafale fighters.

In any case, government sources point out that in the matter of armaments, Greece is not only discussing with France but also with other European countries and the USA.
