The Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, expressed his satisfaction for the signing of an agreement on cooperation in tourism by the competent ministers of Greece – Israel, during his joint statements with his Israeli counterpart, Benjamin Netanyahu.
In a joint press conference after their contacts, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu referred in particular to the agreement on the so-called green passport that will allow travelers from Israel, after the lifting of the flight ban to travel to Greece without restrictions. “And this is good news for all of us,” he said. “It is good for our countries but it is also good for the whole region.”
The agreement on the expanded, more systematic and closer cooperation between Greece and Israel in the field of tourism, signed on Monday by the Minister of Tourism, Haris Theocharis, with his Israeli counterpart, Orit Farkash-Hacohen, which is initially five years, provides for institutional cooperation. between the two countries, in the exchange of information and know-how, in tourism investments, in the promotion of tourism, in tourism innovation and digitization, in tourism education and vocational training, as well as in coordinated actions of Greece and Israel during their representation in international organizations.
