A new era in the relations between Greece and Northern Macedonia is marked by the visit of Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras to Skopje and the signing of important memoranda and agreements covering a wide range of cooperation between the two countries.

In his statements, Mr. Tsipras, underlined the willingness of the two countries to work for the correct and full implementation of the Prespes Agreement.

Furthermore, in his address at the 1st Business Forum in Skopje, the Greek Prime Minister referred to the establishment of embassies in both countries and the opening of a second border crossing, but also to the agreement of the defense ministries, with which Greece will take control and security of the airspace of Northern Macedonia, something that Turkey has claimed in the recent past.
