Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras is visiting Skopje today, two months after the activation of the Prespes Agreement, in order to participate in the first High Level Cooperation Council between Greece and the Republic of Northern Macedonia.
This marks a new beginning in diplomatic, economic, military and energy relations between the two countries. Mr. Tsipras will be accompanied by a group of ministers and a group of entrepreneurs, as important deals are expected to be signed between the two delegations.
A deal of particular importance is the one concerning the defense cooperation, since under NATO, our country will take over the airspace of the neighboring country, which does not have a National Air Force.
The first decisions by the Joint Interdisciplinary Committee of Experts on school books will be signed and the establishment of the ‘Trademark Committee’ which will handle this extremely important issue will be announced.
