Greek stocks ended lower in the Athens Stock Exchange on Friday, with the general index dropping by 0.78 pct to close at 625.69, off the day’s high of 636.61.
The Large Cap index ended 1.39 pct lower and the Mid Cap index fell 1.00 pct. Turnover was 37.841 million euros in volume of 29,072,645 shares.
Alpha Bank (1.85 pct), Titan (1.76 pct) and Athens Water (0.98 pct) scored big gains among blue chip stocks, while PPC (4.73 pct), Eurobank (4.45 pct) and Coca Cola HBC (3.34 pct) suffered losses.
Among market sectors, Health (2.65 pct) and Construction (0.50 pct) scored big gains, while Food & Beverages (3.31 pct) and Travel & Leisure (2.86 pct) suffered losses.
Eurobank and National Bank were the most heavily traded securities of the day.
Broadly, decliners led advancers by 61 to 30, with another 33 issues unchanged. Q & R (14.43 pct), Plastika Kritis (7.56 pct) and Frigoglass (6.34 pct) were top gainers, while Tzirakian (26.47 pct), ΑΝΕΚ (19.81 pct) and Minerva (10.00 pct) were top losers.
