The group exhibition “Polis – Streams – Strengths – Osmosis” opens today at Michael Cacoyannis Foundation, featuring works by 30 contemporary artists dealing with the notion of contemporary cities and the relationships formed within them.
The exhibition takes place within the “Ancient Drama and Urban Studies/ Urbanism” program, implemented by the Michael Cacoyannis Foundation in the context of exploring the interdisciplinary and transcultural approaches of Ancient Drama. Artists approach and highlight moments, fables, relations, conflicts and osmoses between populations, cultures, state and citizens, groups and individuals, man and nature, in the modern city. Ancient drama provides the archetypal backdrop for the exhibition, but is not its specific theme.
