The head of the International Monetary Fund, Greta Gopinath, presented the projections of the International Monetary Fund in Greece in the context of the report of the World Economic Outlook Fund.
According to IMF economists, Greek economy will “run” at 2% growth this year and at 2.2% for 2020. These forecasts are slightly lower for this year, as the initial forecast was of a 2, 4% growth in 2019. In terms of inflation in Greece, the IMF forecasts 0.6% for the current year and will increase by 0.3% in 2020.
In the report, the Fund estimates that there will be a faster decline in unemployment, placing it at 17.8% for 2019 and 16.8% for 2020.
