The safety of Greek citizens is guaranteed on a daily basis by the institutions of state and democracy, the Greek PM’s office stated on Tuesday, in response to criticisms against Alexis Tsipras by the leader of the main opposition, Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

“Feeling uneasy with the government’s initiatives concerning institutions, the economy and the welfare state, Mr. Mitsotakis follows the known but sticky path of ‘Law and Order’ enforcement, a well-known practice of the Samaras administration both in finance and political propaganda,” stated Greek gov’t officials.

“When your political programme has failed, you have no recourse left but the issue of public safety” they added.
