Foreign Minister Yorgos Katrougalos is going to Brussels today to take part at the 3rd International Brussels Conference on Syria, under the auspices of the EU and the UN.

The conference will examine the critical humanitarian issues that Syrians and the communities that host Syrian refugees are facing inside and outside the country, while the economic and political support of the international community, both to Syria and to the neighboring states, is expected to be confirmed.

Greece, as the Foreign Ministry stresses in a press release, is fully in line with the need to continue and intensify humanitarian diplomacy and improve the conditions for humanitarian aid, as well as the protection of civilians and especially vulnerable population groups, such as children and women, and for the operation of the humanitarian bodies operating in Syria.
