“My message is that Greece will be ‘a positive surprise” in the next 2-3 years,” said New Democracy leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis in an interview that was broadcast on CNN on Monday and during which, he invited international investors to trust Greece.

Speaking about the situation in the country, the ND president noted that “Greeks feel especially pressured by excessive taxation applied by the current government” and analyzed his party’s plan regarding a drastic reduction in taxes for households and businesses.

“Greece was the first country to experience the cost of populism and will become the first country to elect a government that will seal the post-populist era,” Mr Mitsotakis said, ahead of the next elections.
