At a press conference in Brussels, European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker, described Greece’s stay in the eurozone as one of the biggest achievements of the Commission’s five-year term.

He pointed out that some people could take it for granted, but “we managed to keep Greece in the eurozone” when “even many small states banned us from dealing with Greece.”

Mr. Juncker said he was “proud” of his achievement and explained that the difference lies in the fact that he respected Greek people’s dignity and the vulnerable groups, while he praised the “resilience” of Greeks’, noting that others in the same situation, would probably have not been able to show it.
