Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias briefed Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, this morning, on the outcome of the EU Foreign Affairs Council, and of “the unanimous and immediate reaction of European partners to Turkish provocations which was estimated to be very encouraging”.

Furthermore, according to a governmental announcement, during the meeting, the two men discussed Mr. Dendias’ trip to the United States and the individual contacts he will have in the context of the enhancement of the Greek-US strategic relationship.

Mr. Dendias is leaving this afternoon for the U.S. where he will meet with, amongst others, his US counterpart Mike Pompeo, the White House National Security Advisor John Bolton and the Speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi.
