Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis will meet US President Donald Trump today at 21:00 (Greek time) in Washington, at a crucial time for our country’s foreign policy, especially with regard to Greek-Turkish relations.

As the prime minister said during his visit to Florida both on Sunday and Monday, Greece is currently the most reliable and predictable ally of the United States within NATO.

According to government sources, the prime minister will stress to the US president that our country is a key factor for stability in the Balkans and the Eastern Mediterranean, while at the same time it has left the economic crisis behind and is an attractive investment option.

Concerning the Turkey-Libya “agreement”, he will reiterate that it is void, unacceptable and does not produce any legal effect.

The Greek Prime Minister will also meet with the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Kristalina Georgieva.
