The General Secretariat of Public Revenue (GGDE) uploaded the names of 13,730 natural and legal persons owing to the Greek state a total amount of more than 150,000 euros on the official website of the Finance ministry.

According to GGDE the objective of disclosing the names is the constant provision of information to the Greek citizens and the consolidation of tax justice towards consistent taxpayers and tax compliance.

These debtors have been in arrears for over a year. They were invited via e-mail to settle their debts but they did not respond.

Excluded from the list are the names of those debtors who have made a repayment arrangement and pay the installments in time as well as debtors for whom there has been a court order to suspend debt payments.
