The government has announced new measures to limit the spread of coronavirus, as confirmed cases in our country have risen to 73.

The Ministry of Health announced seven new cases yesterday, bringing the total number to 73. All cases are related to others already confirmed. Measures that are currently in force include, among others, the four-week closing of the Open Care Centres for the Elderly (KAPI) and the suspension of any conferences, while school excursions within the country, will be suspended for two weeks while all sport events will be held without spectators, behind closed doors for 2 weeks.

More schools that will remain closed from today, Monday, March 9, until March 22, have been added to the Ministry of Education’s list, raising the number of schools that are closed for preventive reasons to 34.

Schools are already closed in the prefectures of Achaia, Ilia, Zakynthos.
