The opposition parties left the parliamentary preliminary investigation committee on Novartis case, after their request to call the protected witnesses and the former vice-president of the company, Konstantinos Frouzis, was rejected.

The Prime Minister’s Press Office has described this act of New Democracy as “a cheap diversion to stir emotions and cover the unprecedented scandal”. “Strangely, the government does not take into account that all opposition parties, without exception, have left the preliminary investigation committee”, New Democracy sources have commented.
