Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras has traveled to Brussels to attend the works of the European Council and the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM). Brexit, internal security, reforms in the Eurozone and Italy’s draft national budget will be the main issues on the agenda of the European Council, while the ASEM Summit, in which 51 countries participate (21 countries from Asia), will mainly focus on the issue of the refugee and migrant flows.

On the occasion of the ASEM Summit, the Greek Premier will meet with Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang and with Indian Vice-President Venkaiah Naidu. The Greek government considers these meetings to be important, since these two countries present high economic growth, while India will also be the honor guest in the next International Fair of Thessaloniki, in September 2019.
