On Monday evening, Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras met with his Italian counterpart Giuseppe Conte in Palermo, Italy, where he will attend the Libya Conference. The Conference starts on Tuesday and will be attended by UN Special Representative Ghassan Salamé, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini, Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi and Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, among others. Libyan Prime Minister Fayez al-Sarraj will also participate in the Conference.

The Conference goal is to send a message of support from the international community regarding the implementation of the UN action plan for Libya.
