Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras is traveling to Beijing on Friday, accompanied by Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias and Digital Policy Minister Nikos Pappas, to attend Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation organized by the government of the People’s Republic of China.

Mr. Tsipras will meet with representatives of major Chinese banks, as well as with executives of investment, bank and business groups. Within the scope of the Forum, he is also expected to meet with heads of states and international organizations, and in particular, with UN Secretary-General António Guterres, IMF Managing Director Christine Lagarde, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
