Hundreds of migrants spent the night on the streets of Lesvos last night, trying to set up makeshift shelters to protect themselves, as no solution has yet been found for their relocation.

Moria is here to remind Europe that we need to change and that it is inconceivable that it does not yet have a single coherent immigration policy, said yesterday from Mytilene the European Commission vice-president Margaritis Schinas.

The Ministry of Immigration and Asylum is making every effort to find a solution for the housing of the migrant population living in the Reception and Identification Center of Moria, as only unaccompanied minors were transferred to inland structures.

“Refugee and migration issues are primarily a European problem and must be addressed as such”, said the President of the Hellenic Republic, Katerina Sakellaropoulou.
