Greek President Prokopios Pavlopoulos, speaking at the international conference "Greece Forward IV Industrial Revolution -Progressive Policies for a Fair Digital Transition" on Thursday, stressed the need to design and implement policies guaranteeing that the digital transition to the era of the fourth industrial revolution will be done in a socially and economically balanced way.

He also stressed the importance of protecting the social rule of law, especially in Europe, regardless of any economic and technological advances that could potentially threaten the way societies function. In his concluding remarks, Pavlopoulos stated that together with its European partners, Greece can use the technologies of the fourth industrial revolution to develop policies at once promoting liberty and personal initiative and ensuring that social justice and solidarity will continue to have an important place in Europe.
