According to data presented by the Bank of Greece, in January-February 2018, the central government primary surplus amounted to 2.056 billion euros, compared to 3.29 billion euros in the same period in 2017.

In particular, in January-February 2018, the central government cash balance recorded a surplus of 843 million euros, compared to 1,592 million euros in the same period in 2017. During this period, ordinary budget revenue amounted to 8,216 million euros, compared to 7,563 million euros last year. Ordinary budget expenditure amounted to 7,265 million euros, compared to 7,701 million euros in January-February 2017.
