The Prosecutor’s Office against corruption has submitted to the Parliament, a request for the lifting of the immunity of KINAL MP and former minister, Andreas Loverdos, regarding the Novartis case, as prosecutors have concluded that there are indications of bribery.
The Corruption Prosecutor’s Office calls the former Health Minister to provide an explanation for the period of April 2011-May 2012 regarding four specific Novartis drugs.
The former minister allegedly appears to not have re-priced, although he should have, these specific medicines by pricing them according to the average of the three cheapest countries in Europe, but he chose other pricing methods for Novartis.
The files of former prime minister Panagiotis Pikrammenos and former ministers Evangelos Venizelos, Andreas Lykourentzos and Giorgos Koutroumanis were sent to the archives.
Ongoing cases include those of former PM Antonis Samaras and former ministers Adonis Georgiadis, Yannis Stournaras, Dimitris Avramopoulos and Marios Salmas.
