In a EuroWorking Group teleconference, the representatives of Eurozone Finance Ministers will discuss the completion of the second bailout program review and the potential implementation of the short-term debt relief measures on the basis of the Institutions’ conclusion on the consequences of the Prime Minister’s benefits package. At the same time, the deliberations between the Institutions and the Greek officials are still in progress, the aim being to complete the second review before the Eurogroup of January 26th.

Talking on ERT, government spokesperson Dimitris Tzanakopoulos expressed his optimism that the review will be completed promptly and stressed that given the positive stance of European partners, the Greek government has no reason to believe that there will be any conflict.
