Privatization has brought great foreign investment flows for 2018, as stated the Minister of Environment and Energy Mr. Yorgos Stathakis, in an interview of his with RealFm Radio.

The Minister added that “energy is the industry which best reflects the government’s ability to move forward with all major projects and at the same time to attract foreign investors”.

In this context, said the Minister, the construction of the largest pipeline in the country, TAP, which is an investment of 2 billion euros, is beginning, as is the construction of the vertical axis to Bulgaria (IGB), an investment of  1 billion euros, and the island connections with billion-worth contracts. At the same time, the contract for the granting of the right to explore and exploit hydrocarbons southwest of Crete will be signed with energy giants, such as ExxonMobil, in the next few days, while investments exceeding 2,5 billion euros are in Renewable Energy Sources.
