Police are investigating the possibility a maniac to shoot taxi drivers in the head after the murder of a taxi driver late Tuesday in the Athens suburb of Kifissia.

Police revealed on Wednesday that a similar incident had occurred one month ago in the same area when an unknown individual shot a taxi driver in the head who survived with light injuries in the neck.

The 52 year- old victim was working as a taxi driver for the last six months and according to police the perpetrator shot him with a gun while the taxi was moving. The taxi rolled for while and collided into a parked car. A bus driver found the victim and called the police.

Inside the taxi, police officers found a cartridge and shooting gun bullet which were sent to the forensic lab. In the victims pockets police found cash, however they have not excluded the possibility of a robbery.
