The regional cooperation of the Balkan countries and the coordination of their future actions in view of the gradual lifting of restriction measures imposed due to the coronavirus pandemic, is on top of the agenda of the teleconference that Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias will have today, Tuesday, with his EU homologues of the region and the Western Balkans countries.

During the teleconference, which is an initiative of Greece and Northern Macedonia, the ways to address and minimize the consequences of these measures will be explored, through the financial support of the Western Balkan countries, and to determine the next steps towards lifting the travel restrictions and the resumption of tourism, always with the aim of ensuring public health.

The teleconference will be attended by the foreign ministers of Greece, Italy, Bulgaria, Romania, Slovenia, Croatia and the Western Balkans, as well as the EU’s Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement.
