Having secured the vote of confidence of 151 deputies, the government underlines that this ensures the continuation of the positive agenda, with an emphasis on the strengthening of the society and the completion of its mandate. The next crucial parliamentary battle is the ratification of the Prespes agreement, which is expected to begin next week.

The signal for the prompt commencement of the procedures was given by the Prime minister himself when he submitted the note verbale from FYROM’s government stating that the constitutional changes in the neighboring country make clear any allegations or confusion about the issues of nationality, citizenship and language.

The note clarifies that the internal procedures under the constitution of the neighboring country have been completed, and according to the changes, the term nationality refers solely to citizenship and that the language belongs to the group of the South Slavic languages.
