The disbursement of the third tranche of Greek debt relief measures, amounting to 748 million euros, is on the agenda of today’s Eurogroup meeting, which will decide whether to approve its disbursement.

At the meeting, which will take place this afternoon via video conference, the Eurogroup will consider the sixth enhanced surveillance report on Greece drawn up by the European Commission, which found that “given the extraordinary circumstances of the coronavirus crisis, Greece has taken the necessary measures to achieve the specific reform commitments made.”

The Eurogroup will then meet with the finance ministers of all EU countries to discuss the economic situation in the EU and the measures to support the recovery of its economy through the Rehabilitation Fund.

Greece has backed the Commission’s proposal to receive up to 32 billion euros in grants and loans.
