The Greek State raised € 2.5 billion from the new ten-year bond issued on Tuesday and for which investors offered a total of € 11.8 billion. The bond yield was set at 3.9%. Bids submitted in the book-building process totaled 11.8 billion euros from 419 international investors, up from 290 investors in the previous five-year bond issue in January.
With the amount raised, the two-thirds of this year’s program, worth € 7 billion was covered.
According to sources at the Ministry of Finance, the issuing of the bond went well as the participation of real and long-term investors increased.
Minister of Finance Euclid Tsakalotos expressed his satisfaction and stressed that now nobody can say that we do not have access to the markets.
