The re-launch of the positive agenda in the Greek-Turkish relations, after a period of deterioration, is the most important result of the meeting between the Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras and the Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara, according to diplomatic sources.

Other meetings will follow in the same positive climate, steps will be taken and agreements will be signed, as both leaders underlined in their joint statements to journalists after their meeting.

The same sources point out that the activation of an important channel of the defense ministers of Greece and Turkey will help reduce the tension in the Aegean. Regarding the Cyprus issue, it is expected that preparatory meetings of Foreign Ministers of the two countries will soon begin.

The Minister of Immigration Policy Dimitris Vitsas will meet with his Turkish counterpart in the framework of an effective bilateral co-operation.
