It is inspired by the life of French freestyle champion Jacques Mayol and it glorifies the relationship between humans and nature. The film “Apex Survival – Maiden Voyage” by Jakes Jordaan and Johnny Beechler (South Africa) follows the mystery of the disappearance of white sharks, while Enrique Parenti’s and Stefano Liberti’s “Soyalism” (Italy) reveals the natural disasters caused by large food industries.
The documentary film “Before the Flood” (USA) produced and narrated by Leonardo DiCaprio talks about the effects of climate change on humans, while Marianna Economou’s “When tomatoes met Wagner” is a humorous and uplifting story of two ingenuous Greek cousins, who tackle the world market with their organic tomato products.
