Three people have died, and one remains missing, while extensive damages have been reported in several areas in the country, caused by the Mediterranean cyclone (Medicane) Ianos.

Search parties continue looking for the 43-year-old pharmacist who went missing in Mouzaki last Friday night, when her car was swept away by the rushing waters of the river Pamisos.

In the prefecture of Karditsa, the damages to infrastructure, businesses, homes and agricultural production is incalculable. The Prime Minister and the President of SYRIZA, are visiting the area today.

Extensive damages were also reported in Kefalonia, Ithaca and Zakynthos, where many areas are still without electricity, while boats have sunk, businesses have been destroyed and houses are flooded.

The tourist village of Assos, in Cephalonia, was buried under mud, stones, rubble and debris, while many houses are uninhabitable.
