Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras is meeting today with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara as part of his two-day visit to the neighboring country.
“We have the opportunity to continue the sincere dialogue that we started in December 2017 and re-launch our positive agenda,” Alexis Tsipras stressed in an interview with the Anadolu Agency.
The reduction of tension in the Aegean, Cyprus, the economy and energy, migration, the regional developments and the Euro-Turkish relations, are some of the issues to be discussed at the meeting.
Alexis Tsipras will meet tomorrow with the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew in Constantinople. Tsipras will also visit Hagia Sophia and the Theological School of Halki, making him the first Greek Prime Minister to visit the School since 1933.
