Alexis Haritsis, Deputy Minister of Economy, Development and Tourism and Head of the National Strategic Reference Framework (NSRF) in Greece, stated that the government’s main goal for the new period of the NSRF is to support young scientists, research projects and synergies between research centres and businesses.

The first cycle of the programme will be launched in September 2016, the second cycle in September 2017 and the third in September 2018.

“Our main concern is to avoid repeating past phenomena where exorbitant amounts were spent on projects which had a poor – if any – result on the Greek economy”, he added.
